During the shop tour someone turned in three yards of fabric that was found in our parking lot. If you are missing some fabric, please call us at 805-938-5870, so we can return it to you.
This Saturday, June 26th, is Sandy Turner’s “One Block Wonder” class. We have two samples of this quilt up in the shop – both are beautiful. We still have a few openings for this class, so it’s not too late to sign up.
Coming July 10th is “Introduction to English Paper Piecing” with teacher Lisa Gray. English Paper Piecing is a handwork technique dating back to at least 1771. Grandmother’s Flower Garden is likely the most recognized pattern, but there are a variety of patterns available. This technique is precise, portable, and simple to do. You will create a single block while learning the English Paper Piecing technique, appliqué, quilting and how to bind the block. Check out the samples in the shop or the photos on the website, then call and reserve your space in the class.
We have six great new patterns from Patricia Pepe, our friend and x-block queen. I’m always amazed at the endless possibilities that come from Patricia’s creativity. You’ll love her new patterns. I can’t wait to make “Penelope” out of batiks!
Speaking of batiks – 12 new beautiful Hoffman batiks arrived this week. The six new bali pops will be out in August, and we have chosen several bolts to coordinate with each one. Strip Therapy 6 will contain a quilt pattern with each of the new bali pops to give you ideas as to how to use them.
Enjoy your summer quilters. Whatever you do, stay safe! I appreciate you and thank you for your support.
Happy
quilting!
